Generate intelligent data form in vb6/sqlserver without writing any code.

The type of ActiveDB control is data source. So you can bind any control which has data source and data field properties. For example you can bind controls such as PictureBox, CheckBox, ListBox, ComboBox, TextBox, FlexGrid, DataGrid, RichTextBox, MaskEdit … to ActiveDB control.

Also, ActiveDB control has a powerful wizard which name is "Active Wizard" that covers all steps for generating forms without writing any line of code for it.

Note: You should install Visual Basic 6 (ServicePack4 ) on you computer before installing ActiveDB control.

ActiveDB Features

1-Inserting, updating and deleting records in two ways: Single update or Batch update.

2- Navigating Records, using these short cuts on keyboard:

- Up arrow key: previous record

- Down arrow key: next record

- Page up key: previous 20th record

- Page down key: next 20th record

- Ctrl-Down arrow key: last record

- Ctrl-up arrow key: first record

3- Automatically diagnosing primary key fields and also checking values of those fields to be unique at data entry time.

4- Automatically diagnosing Not Null fields.

5- Creating list of value for fields which their values comes from another tables of data base, also doing necessary validations on these fields. The control can create a runtime label to show Description for each of aforementioned fields.

6- The facility of searching field values in "Query by Form" order, just like ORACLE environment. By using F11 key, values of fields will be empty. Then after setting one or many of search parameters, and pressing F12 key, search result will be filtered within recordset of form.

7- Automatically setting maximum permissive Field length, refer to defined field data types in table.

8- The facility of duplicating values of current record.

9- The facility of creating and printing fast Reports of current recordset of form in HTML format. Also setting report field captions by user.

10- The facility of exporting current form data in Excel format

11- Automatically identifying numeric and characteristic fields and setting limitations for numeric fields at data entry time.

12- Setting Filters on records in two ways:

1- Hard filter (Filters that will not be opened by query)

2- Soft filter (Filter from programming IDE)

13- The ability of settling Access rights, refer to user qualifications and determining Add, delete or update limitations, by "UpdatAllowded" , "InsertAllowed" and "DeleteAllowed" properties.

14- The facility of Ascending or Descending Sort on each field by pressing f6 key.

15- The facility of setting current connection at runtime by using "Activeconnection" property.
